Round Rock Web Design owner Releases New Personal Web Site

Dan Masters, the owner of Round Rock Web Design has setup a new personal web site about his new house. This is what he had to say -

I have setup a brand new web site – The Masters House.

This web site is going to blog the improvements and projects done to my new house.

These improvements can be anything from changing the type of light bulb that we use for energy purposes to building an additional room on the house.

Google Rankings slip for Round Rock Web Design

Well I guess my 5 minutes of fame have ended. My previous post Round Rock Web Design Blog # 6 on Google told of the great news of this blog being # 6 for "Round Rock Web Design".

Well that only latest for a few days.

It is now no where to be seen.

Why should it matter would you ask?

Well the reason is that Round Rock Web Design is my new company that I start her in Texas after moving from California. Previously I owned ConsultIT and Pure1 Media which were located in Southern California.

Since moving to Round Rock Texas I have started this new business and am trying to get good search engine results for it to drum up business.

On of the ways that I am doing it is that I have setup several free blogs that I am posting to (like this one) to get some good content about Round Rock Web Design and inbound links. The funny part is that a lot of these blogs are listing higher then the actual web site it self. The reason for that is that roundrockwebdesign.com is a brand new domain name so Google is not going to automatically send it to the top (unlike MSN). So I need to put the work in to get it to the top myself.

Well keep checking back. I am sure that roundrockwebdesign.com will be near the top soon!

Round Rock Web Design Blog # 6 on Google

I did a quick check this morning on Google for the Phrase “Round Rock Web Design” and low and behold – this blog is # 6 in the results.

The other cool thing about it is that I did not put quotes “” around the phrase so I was not looking for the exact term.

Now it would be nice if the actual Round Rock Web Design web site showed up instead, but I am content with anything being there at this point.

In doing a search for on Google for “Round Rock Web Design” there are not any companies that are actually located in Round Rock that do Web Design that are listed in the top 10 in search results. There are plenty of web sites that have “lists” that are dynamically generated that list companies that can do web design for Round Rock but most of them are not even in Texas.

Therefore, using my experience with Search Engine Optimization I am going to try and get roundrockwebdesign.com to the top of search engine results so that companies can find a web designer local to Round Rock, TX.

The way that I plan on doing this is -

1. Starting this blog which will link to the actual roundrockwebdesign.com web site.
2. Optimizing the roundrockwebdesign.com web site so that the title, meta, and description tags are targeting specific keyword phrases.
3. Write relevant content for the site so that it is what people want when the visit the site (a web designer in Round Rock)
4. Write supporting articles that will help people with their own web site marketing campaigns
5. Start a link campaign to get relevant incoming links from other web sites. (if I cannot do this for roundrockwebdesign.com web site, how would I be able to do it for a customer?)

With all of that you can tell that I have a lot of work ahead of me but it is worth it.
